Coastal Forest Walk

This piece has been part of my private collection and has graced the walls in my holiday home for a few years and now it's time to let someone else enjoy it.

It was produced not long after the lockdowns in Victoria and was painted in response to the freedom of being able to travel from home and go for long walks. There are many coastal walks and hikes on the Mornington Peninsula and walking through the bush was a welcome privilege to have back.

I particularly enjoyed capturing the scrub and grasses under the trees and all the beautiful muted colours that the Australian bush offers. This is a unique piece that is not how I usually paint or probably will again.
