The Painter's Garden - acrylic on board painting by artist Cathy Usatoff
This work has been based on the gardens of the Rippon Lea Estate in the suburbs of Melbourne.
Whilst walking around this beautiful estate, I was thinking of how the French Impressionists would have painted the charm and nostalgia of the gardens. My aim was to reflect nature's vivid and fleeting brilliance that contrasted with the soothing greenery.
