This work has been based on the gardens of the Rippon Lea Estate in the suburbs of Melbourne.
Whilst walking around this beautiful estate, I was thinking of how the French Impressionists would have painted the charm and nostalgia of the gardens. The cast iron bridges evoked Monet's Water Lily paintings.
This view is a little vignette of the sort of hidden views, secret hideaways and disappearing paths wanting to explored that can be found here.
