Autumn Approaching

Inspired by the bountiful aspects of rural life and scenic hills and wineries on the Mornington Peninsula, the pockets of warm notes in this work signify the arrival of Autumn. It is the anticipation of the vibrant seasonal transition ahead and sense of nostalgia for the fading days of summer.

I am fortunate to experience the Mornington Peninsula in all the seasons and this work sees the beginning of Autumn when the poplar trees and vines start turning to yellow and olive greens before losing their leaves altogether.
